I write about health, culture and technology. I'm a regular contributor to the Washington Post's wellness section, and my writing appears in other national outlets such as the Washington Post Magazine, Wired Magazine, Leaps Magazine, Time Magazine, Quillette, WebMD, Medium's the Startup and Fatherly Magazine.

I’m also a science fiction author with short stories and my first novella published in Compelling Science Fiction, Centropic Oracle, Every Day Fiction, Allegory, Twenty-two Twenty-eight, and the Chicago Center for Literature and Photography. A few of these stories were included in "best of" anthologies, and one got translated for a Vietnamese science fiction magazine. The great cover art depicts a scene from my story...

Other activities include law review articles about the first amendment, magazine pieces on adventurous eating, and co-producing what could be one of the worst feature-length films ever made. As a tennis player with a 4.5 rating, my weekend pastime is playing matches in parks across Maryland for my local tennis league. I'm also an officer at the Pew Charitable Trusts focusing on climate resilience research and policy.
